Recognitions brings together a mature body of therapy-assisted practice with 5-MeO-DMT and experience in co-visible, peer-lead environments. Recognitions Education is where that work is shared with facilitators through training, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
Recognitions draws on the Considerations for Guidance Relationships when considering a fit for training and mentorship. These community-developed guidelines invite both those seeking guidance and those offering it to consider the expectations, responsibilities, ethics, and relational dynamics involved in learning together. Prospective participants are encouraged to read them when considering whether working together is the right fit.
Throughout Recognitions, the word facilitator is used as an inclusive term for those who work with others using 5-MeO-DMT. Depending on context, training, and orientation, people may identify as practitioners, guides, therapists, clinicians, providers, shamans, or psychedelic-assisted therapists. “Facilitator” is not intended to replace these distinctions, but to give us a common language for the people this work serves.
